Devin and I took Yamp Swankee over to anchor near Fort Adams for the Newport Jazz Festival. We used the oars and rowed over from the mooring, which took a bit against the headwind. Despite arriving around noon, we got the best spot we've ever had, in 3-6 feet of water! It pays to have a small boat with very shallow draft. The afternoon was perfect; we swam, snacked, and listened to excellent music. We could feel the vibration of the bass through the water.
